Galaxy Aquatics state-of-the-art aquatic therapy pools are manufactured in the United States with the highest quality standards available in the market today. Our Flex Design capabilities offer the company’s greatest competitive advantage. No manufacturer in the market has the capabilities that Galaxy Aquatics can offer its customers. Listed below are some of the things that make Galaxy Aquatics the number one aquatic therapy pool manufacturer in the world.

The Galaxy Aquatics pool shell consists of a durable composite structure with the exquisite look of porcelain or ceramic tile, which gives your facility a professional image and years of maintenance-free service. Our competitors deliver a thin vinyl liner or gelcoat finish that require regular surface maintenance and are prone to tearing, scratching, fading and blistering. Regular gelcoat polishing and liner replacement combined with clinic downtime are real ongoing costs that can be avoided with the luxurious porcelain or ceramic tile that is standard with all Galaxy Aquatics Pools.

Galaxy Aquatics has the largest number of protocol specific workstations. Our Flex Design adds a new dimen- sion to your pool and allows you to choose the aquatic workstations that fit your patient population. Other pool manufacturers give you a fixed set of stations that may not meet your specific therapy or training goals. With Galaxy you have a choice!

The Galaxy Closed Chamber Camera System allows you to capture live-streaming video and download the images to a secure DVD client file. This system is compatible with the DartFish video analysis software, as utilized with many of the American Olympic athletes for aquatic rehab and athletic progression analysis. Our competitors produce camera systems that require costly vaults and HVAC circulation systems to protect the cam- eras that are placed behind windows in the pool walls. Still other companies claim an integrated camera system that is unpredictable and offers limited views of the pool and your patients. If video is important to you go with a winner – Galaxy Aquatics, Inc.

With Galaxy there are no extra engineering or construction costs for building structural vaults, air handling systems and drainage systems. Our pools are designed to be backfilled or can be free-standing. Why pay $20,000.00 to $40,000.00 in extra costs for a pit and sacrifice water area to accommodate the requirements of other manufacturers? Galaxy always keeps the customer in mind!

Galaxy Aquatics uses the proven Riverflow variable speed propulsion system that provides the best laminar flow in the industry. We use a direct drive motor that does not incorporate failure prone belts or paddlewheel systems that require additional maintenance over time. It is simply the best propulsion system available! It offers over 60 power levels to meet your specific therapy or training needs. Other manufacturers use variations of turbulent water jets or fixed single location flows that affect all of the clients in their pools. Let us show you how you can configure our flow systems to treat multiple clients in the same pool for a wide variety of therapy or athletic protocols. The Riverflow propulsion system is UL and NSF approved.

Galaxy uses only the premier manufacturers of commercial pumps, filters, heaters and chemical control systems to make the use of your pool seamless. All of our suppliers maintain a national network of distributors to insure consistent support of our customers. Many of our competitors use residential grade equipment and have multiple control systems that are complex, and difficult to use.

Galaxy Aquatics provides more functional and safety devices standard with every pool than our competitors. Our aquatic therapy and sport fitness pools include fill lines, an overflow protection system, non-skid tile on all pool surfaces, contrasting non-skid feature tiles to delineate all work stations (you choose tile color), a variety of safety and work station stainless steel or Saftron (recommended for salt water systems) grab bars to provide optimal use of pool features, a number of tether ports for Therabands and other aquatic devices to be anchored, VGB compliant safety suction and drain systems, and stainless steel or Saftron entry ladder or safety entry rails. Galaxy Aquat- ics requires all pools with salt-based chemical systems to include the option of Saftron rustproof rails to avoid the rusting that occurs with stainless steel rails.

Galaxy Aquatics has received the coveted Certificate of Listing from IAPMO R&T for its therapy pool shells. IAPMO is a well-recognized product certification body that test and inspects samples taken from a suppliers stock or from the market to verify compliance to the requirements of applicable codes and product standards. This activity is coupled with periodic surveillance of the manufacturers facilities and stock as well as the assessment of the suppliers Quality Assurance System. Galaxy Aquatics IAPMO Certificate of Listing covers our entire line of pool shells. Our top competitors hold no Certificates of Listing from a recognized testing and certification laboratory. Why gamble when it comes to quality assurance and code compliance?

Galaxy Aquatics brings experience and innovation to the aquatic therapy and sports fitness market. Combining over 25 years of pool industry experience, the owner has brought together a team of medical, construction and therapy professionals, sport and fitness therapists, and strategic partnerships to build a company that is meeting the emerging needs of the aquatic therapy and sports fitness community. Cutting edge propulsion systems, inte- grated camera systems, dynamic work stations, all-tile pool surfaces, computer controlled variable water level control, automated water quality control and monitoring systems, pool overflow protection and more. Innovative design and advanced technology is at the core of Galaxy Aquatics.

Galaxy Aquatics has manufactured pools for the leading companies in the industry and is now bringing its products direct to the end user.	By eliminating the middle man Galaxy is able to bring you the best aquatic therapy pool at the most economical price. Thank you for your consideration.

Galaxy Aquatics provides the highest quality plunge pools in the market and that is why many of our competitors come to us for their plunge pools. Like all of our pools the Galaxy Aquatics Plunge Pools are a category leader in the therapy pool industry, providing the most advanced hydrotherapy treatment available and the most durable construction. Our Plunge Pool line is designed specifically for athletic facilities, fitness centers, training rooms and locker rooms.

The Galaxy Aquatics Plunge Pools include both Hot and Cold Plunge units. These amazing Plunge Pools are designed for durability and provide the best insulation of any pool on the market. Proper insulation allows you to maintain the required temperature using less power, reducing your overall operating costs. Each plunge pool includes circumferential benches throughout and a set of stairs with a handrail for safely entering and exiting the pool.

Our custom tile choices offer color and design capabilities from the most simple to the most intricate. Your unique choices allow you to create the perfect show- place! Tile logo graphics are a popular design option among professional or college athletic facilities.

The Hot Plunge Pool is fully adjustable with temperatures that reach a steaming 104 degrees to treat muscle injuries or induce whole body relaxation. Our Hot Plunge also includes multiple hydrotherapy jets and comes with a massage wand for therapeutic massage or to treat specific muscle groups. All Hot Plunge Pools include a commercial heater and an advanced commercial filter system.

The Cold Plunge Pool is fully adjustable with temperatures that cool to 50 degrees for treatment of acute injuries or for cool down after strenuous training.

Galaxy Aquatics experience with designing and installing spas for the industry leaders makes them the best candidate to provide your next plunge pool. Experience has shown that it is usually better to place the Hot and Cold Plunge Pools side-by-side or in close proximity to each other. This layout is particularly effective for hot and cold contrast therapy.

Galaxy Aquatics offers three standard plunge pool sizes that are pre-plumbed at the factory for easy installation:

Small (7.5 ft. x 7.5 ft. x 4 ft.)

Medium (8 ft. x 8 ft. x 4 ft.)

Large (8 ft. x 14 ft. x 4 ft.).

Galaxy Aquatics has designed custom spas and plunges for years. We can modify any of our standard Plunge Pools to fit your needs or your facility requirements.

The two standard Deep Well Stations provided by Galaxy Aquatics are a 5 ft. deep well with running platform and a 6 Ft. Deep Well. The six-foot Deep Well Station is designed to fully unload the spine and lower extremities in open chain positions to maximize ROM and strengthening for neurological and non-weight bearing orthopedic protocols. The five-foot deep well is a treatment area for both upper and lower extremities in open and closed chain treatments and conditioning. The five-foot Deep Well includes a Running Platform that is a 45 degree angled platform.

When combined with the TheraFlow Propulsion System it creates a treadmill simulator. This combination simulates progressive hip and knee mechanisms encountered with quick start and linear acceleration activities. Due to the deep wells five-foot depth, this station is also designed to unload the lower extremities and spine in closed chain postures during early rehab for orthopedic and neurological conditions. As the patient progresses, early plyometric training can be reintroduced into their care.

The 5 ft. and 6 ft. Deep Wells allow the clinician to progess their patients from a weightless environment in the six-foot well through the five-foot well to the four-foot depth. The increase in load bearing throughout a patients rehab is one of the keys to successful rehabilitation. Custom Deep Well Stations are available in 7 ft. and 8 ft. depths if necessary for sports applications.

Galaxy Aquatics Plyometric Station is one of the most advanced workstations, using 45 degree angled platforms to progress and accelerate treatment. It specifically targets the lower extremities for dynamic sagittal and frontal plane activities. This station is an amazing tool for progressive closed chain plyometric training and conditioning. This station includes a 48” stainless steel grab rail and colored tile plyometric angled platforms.

Galaxy Aquatic is one of the originators of the Plyometric Station. Many manufacturers have copied the original design of the Galaxy Aquatics Plyometric Station. Our Plyometric Station gives you the ability to progress your patient using natural closed chain forces of the lower limbs with combined open chain movements of the upper limbs against the resistance properties of water. Incorporating a propulsion system with the Plyometric Station gives you more flexibility in your sports training and provides your patient with an enhanced workout or rehabilitation session.

Galaxy Aquatics Therapy Pools General Information

Galaxy Aquatics has been building the premier aquatic therapy pools in the industry for over 20 years. Our prefabricated, all tile construction and multi-layer fabrication results in superior heat retention and extraordinary longevity. The 10 year structural and tile adhesion warranty attests to the quality of our Galaxy products. Our history has involved manufacturing custom tiled pools, plunges and spas for some of the top manufacturers in the industry. Galaxy Aquatics is now bringing the best direct to you!

Pool Installation Information

Pool installation requires a consultation with our Galaxy Aquatics specialists to determine the pool’s size, weight, excavation dimensions, footprint and delivery methods. Galaxy pools can be installed fully or partially in-ground and back-filled or completely above ground. However, this information needs to be determined prior to manufacturing to ensure structural reinforcement. The installed pool must sit on a level, engineered slab designed to support the pool’s actual weight when filled with water. Galaxy Aquatics construction specialists work to ensure that the installation of any Galaxy pool is a simple process for your architect and contractor. Site specific drawings and detailed pool elevation drawings are essential tools for a cost-effective installation. Galaxy’s on-site consulting is available upon request.

Construction Management

Formal consultations are available at any point during the planning process through Galaxy Aquatics’ Construction Management Department. The department’s professional construction consultants can assist the client’s architect and contractor. Galaxy Aquatics recommends an on-site visit early in the planning process from a Galaxy representative. This will undoubtedly save you more money in the long run and result in a smoother installation process.

Planning and Site Considerations

Galaxy pool construction plans include a pool overview, cut sections, dimensions, a piping schematic for the circulation system and any ancillary piping and equipment for additional options. All construction plans are available in PDF or Auto Cad format for the client’s architect.

Electrical Requirements

Circulation System: 20 amp, 220/240 volt, single phase.

Propulsion System: 50 amp, 208/240 volt, three phase.

Plumbing Requirements

Plumbing schematics are provided for the pool piping and equipment only. However, they do not indicate the required deck or sewer drains, or sump pumps. All Galaxy Aquatics pools are manufactured with fill line outlet and overflow protection inlets for optimal waterline maintenance.

Environmental Controls

Pool chemistry is one of the most important issues that can affect the environment and personal health. Galaxy Aquatics recommends that you consult with a certified pool contractor to discuss which chemicals to use and the various automated delivery systems available. A weekly service agreement with a certified pool technician is strongly recommended until your personnel can manage the system.

Start-Up and Product Training

Comprehensive training is provided with each Galaxy Aquatics pool. Galaxy Aquatics educational specialists offer field training for our customers and their staff once the pool is operational. These specialists cover aquatic therapy protocols, reimbursement and the proper use of the respective therapy pool. All Galaxy Aquatics educators have had extensive experience in the field of aquatic therapy. A three-week notice is required to schedule a training session.

Your Galaxy representative can also provide you information on the top consultants in aquatic therapy.
