Q: What kind of electrical requirements do I need?
A: A typical spa requires about a 60 to 80 amp subpanel. This covers 2 pumps and spa light as well as area lighting.
For every additional pump a  designated 20 amp circuit is required.
Electric heating adds app. 45 amp. to  it.( Depending on heater size )

Q: Do I need a professional spa installer?
A: It is always recommended  to use licensed plumbers and electricians.
Many people however have undertaken  installations themselves.
Galaxy will assist you in every way with literature, advise at verbal help.

Q: Do I need to obtain a permit?
A: Residential installations usually do need permits. Commercial installation requires in addition a health department  approval.

Q: How do I know the contractor is qualified to do the job.
A: It is always recommended to get more then one bid.
Obtain a referral list from the contractor and check with clients he has performed work for, People are too happy to reply with well placed questions about the quality of job performed.

Q: Do I need plumbing directly to the sewer for  draining?
A: Typically not .Again it depends on your local authorities. Call them before hand so all issues can be covered a the beginning of your project.

Q: What kind of services do I need to hook up to the spa?
A: Electrical service for equipment, plumbing from spa to equipment water connection close by for filling the unit and cleaning.

Q: How long should a regular installation take?
A: Site preparation which means excavation, pouring cement for equipment pad and under the spa takes typically 3 to 4 days. Plumbing and electrical on the average of another 2 to 3 days. Masonry work such as planters, decking depends  on how elaborate the design is.
